Motherhood continues to change, and demands complete trust in the Father's providence for me, and for each of them. Lead us, Lord!

motherhood, a changing, demanding responsibility
As my children age, and go through all the various stages, I realize that each is as challenging or even more so, than the stage before it. When my children were babies, there were the demands of their physical care, staying up at night, nursing, changing diapers, little sleep, etc. Then came the word NO into their vocabulary and the amazing development of language. Then came preschool, and early school years, where, as a homeschooling mother, I took on the total responsibility for their educations. Then preteen moments, changing bodies, fluctuating hormones, etc. Trinity education began and the challenges of more serious academics, and sports were a new thing in my children's lives. Also, day-to-day life with peer groups in middle and high school years. All filled with highs and lows and everything in between. Children flourishing in some friendships and being challenged left and right in others. Now, I face another new stage - that of beginning to look toward the rest of their lives, college choices, life choices. Freedom and responsibility and figuring out the plan for their lives with them.
